System Requirements

HeuristicLab is based on the Microsoft .NET Framework. In order to be able to run HeuristicLab properly, you have to downland and install the following software package:

Please note that we are working on porting HeuristicLab to Mono but are unable to provide any support at the moment. You can have a look at this Blog post for more information about the current status of the port. If you have gained any experience with Mono and HeuristicLab, we would be thankful for any kind of feedback.

Download Binaries

The latest stable version of HeuristicLab is 3.3.5. A ZIP archive containing the binaries of HeuristicLab 3.3.5 built for all CPU types is attached to this page:

Specific builds for 32 or 64 bit systems are also available:

Check the ChangeLog to see what's new or to download previous versions of HeuristicLab.

Daily Builds

Daily builds of HeuristicLab directly from the source code repository are available as well. The daily build contains released plugins and plugins which are still under development. If you want to try out the latest improvements of HeuristicLab or if you want to check, if a bug that you found in the released version is already fixed in the source code repository, you can try out the daily build version. HeuristicLab is under active development, so the daily builds are in an alpha state and not for productive use.

We also provide daily builds of additional features which haven't yet been integrated in the trunk. You can have a look at the Branches Daily Builds? page for more information on these features and where you can download them.

Installation / Upgrade

HeuristicLab does not contain a setup and does not have to be installed. After extracting the HeuristicLab ZIP archive from this page, double click on the file HeuristicLab 3.3.exe to start.

Please note, after starting HeuristicLab for the first time, open the Plugin Manager to find and install updates. It is recommended to check for and install new updates regularly, as the development of HeuristicLab is an ongoing and active process.
