SymReg evaluators with parameter optimization do not consider estimation limits for the optimization

Estimation limits are applied only after the evaluation of symreg models. Within parameter optimization the evaluator does not limit the function outputs.

This means that the optimized parameters could potentially be improved after estimation limits are applied.

So far this is an hypothesis only. As a first step one should check how big the effect actually is.
