Academic Activities

The academic activities of HEAL include the organization of workshops in the field of heuristic optimization at renown conferences. Additionally, tutorials are given at conferences in order to present HeuristicLab and its features to interested researchers.

Workshops

HEAL members have a long tradition in hosting a workshop at the EuroCAST conference which is held in every odd year in February. This workshop is co-organized with Prof. Raidl from TU Vienna, Austria. Additionally, in 2012 the EvoSoft workshop was established which provides a lively place for discussing progress and challenges for evolutionary computation software systems.

Tutorials

HeuristicLab has been presented at numerous occasions drawing the attention of researchers all over the world. Below is a list of conferences at which tutorials were or will be held.
